Anne is a prominent relationship therapist and Founder of Wellness Counseling Center. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and specializes in working with couples and families. She has a doctorate in Psychology and masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Anne is a certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and Supervisor. She always works from a wellness-oriented, non-pathologizing point of view. That means no-blame, no-shame. Anne conducts 2½ Day Couples Intensives.

Beth McCain M.A.

Beth is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, exceptionally well trained and certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). She holds a masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her specialty is working with couples who want a strong partnership, yet struggle with communication, trust, and emotional connection. Beth's priority is ending the conflict and recreating a healthy, happy relationship. Beth conducts 1 Day and 2½ Day Couples Intensives.

Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a formally trained EFT Couple Therapist. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill (B.A. Psychology) and Wake Forest University (M.A. Counseling), Sarah is also an accomplished yoga instructor. She understands the meaning of presence and is skilled at using EFT’s step-by-step process to help couples identify and stop challenging negative patterns. Sarah recognizes the profound impact a distressed relationship can have on our overall physical and emotional well-being.

Sheila is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina. She is a formally trained EFT Couples Therapist and holds a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (Pfeiffer University) and a Masters in Criminal Justice (ECU). As a South Carolina resident, Sheila leads our Columbia/Lexington office and enjoys working close to home. While specializing in couples therapy, her experience also includes working with individuals with PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and substance abuse. Sheila’s goal is to make an impact helping individuals and couples increase self-awareness, confidence and connection.

Julie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a formally trained EFT Couples Therapist. She holds a Masters in Counseling and a Bachelors in Sociology from Wake Forest University. Her experience includes working with couples and families with the goal of healing and strengthening relationships. Julie recognizes the profound impact relationship bonds have on our wellbeing. Julie also sees individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss and relationship or identity issues.

Christina Bronte M.S.W.

Christina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and formally trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Her focus is helping couples who feel alone or adrift in their relationship reconnect to establish a closeness and confidence that endures. Christina also supports individuals and teens experiencing distress regain their equilibrium and grow in the midst of change. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, academic pressures, parental loss, adoption and navigating life transition issues. She believes it’s important to be connected and attuned to ourselves, our values and those who matter most.

Stephanie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She holds a Masters in Education, a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Post-Graduate Degree in Professional School Counseling. Her counseling experience includes working with children and teens who are exploring healthy ways to communicate and express emotions. Stephanie has extensive experience working with children with identified special needs including social-emotional and academic challenges. She believes everyones voice deserves to be heard. Stephanie also sees children and teens who are exploring their gender and identity.

Karen Naegel | Graduate Intern, NCU

Karen comes to us as a Graduate Intern from the Marriage and Family Therapy program at North Central University and is scheduled to graduate in 2023. She received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Ohio in 1995. Wellness Counseling Center is proud to provide graduate level training for students entering the profession. Karen loves spending time with her husband of 20 plus years, two teenage daughters and friends. She also enjoys reading, mountain biking, hiking. She and her family are actively involved in the sport of powerlifting.

She gently guides you through all the options and choices needed for a safe and meaningful experience - even before walking through the door.
