Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and a formally trained EFT Couple Therapist. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill (B.A. Psychology) and Wake Forest University (M.A. Counseling), Sarah is also an accomplished yoga instructor. She understands the meaning of presence and is skilled at using EFT’s step-by-step process to help couples identify and stop challenging negative patterns. Sarah recognizes the profound impact a distressed relationship can have on our overall physical and emotional well-being.

Sheila is a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina. She is a formally trained EFT Couples Therapist and holds a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (Pfeiffer University) and a Masters in Criminal Justice (ECU). As a South Carolina resident, Sheila leads our Columbia/Lexington office and enjoys working close to home. While specializing in couples therapy, her experience also includes working with individuals with PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and substance abuse. Sheila’s goal is to make an impact helping individuals and couples increase self-awareness, confidence and connection.

Karen comes to us as a Graduate Intern from the Marriage and Family Therapy program at North Central University and is scheduled to graduate in 2023. She received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Ohio in 1995. Wellness Counseling Center is proud to provide graduate level training for students entering the profession. Karen loves spending time with her husband of 20 plus years, two teenage daughters and friends. She also enjoys reading, mountain biking, hiking. She and her family are actively involved in the sport of powerlifting.

Norena is an enthusiastic counselor who ensures opportunities to reflect and practice new ways from every session. Norena also sees individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression or exploring their gender or sexual identity.
