What kind of counseling do you offer?

We specialize in working with Couples. We also see Families and Individuals – including young adults.

What are your fees for week-to-week sessions?

Our fees range from $100 – $410 depending on which therapist you choose to work with.

Do you take insurance?

No, we are fee-for-service and do not take insurance directly. However, you may use your HSA card for our services. If you request it, we will provide you with a statement you can use to submit an insurance claim.

What is a Couples Intensive?

The 1 Day Couples Intensive and 2½ Day Couples Intensive Retreat are our premium programs. Both are designed so you and your partner take the deep dive required for enhancing resilience and connection in your relationship. The Intensives are private….just you, your partner, and your therapist in a structured program where you can safely explore your relationship without shame or blame.

Do you offer in-person or online sessions?

We offer both in-person and on-line sessions…you choose what works best for you.

How long are the sessions?

Initial Consults are 90-minutes.
Couple and Family sessions are 80-minutes.
Individual sessions are 50-minutes.
Extended Individual sessions are 80-minutes.

Do you offer nights and/or weekends?

Yes and Yes! Naturally these go quickly.

How do I/we book a session?

For your convenience and peace of mind, we’ve designed a personalized 3-step ‘White Glove’ scheduling process.

1. Submit a contact form or call us at 704-319-5593 to have a personal conversation with our Client Support Specialist. We promise to respond quickly and always within 24 hours or the next business day if you’ve contacted us on a weekend or holiday.
2. Gather information. During this call, you’ll have the opportunity to ask a lot of questions and take all the time you need to make a well-informed decision about selecting a therapist that feels right for you.
3. Schedule and secure your appointment with a $25 non-refundable reservation fee. This fee will be applied to your first appointment. If you need to reschedule, no problem. Simply let us know within 48 hours of the appointment and we’ll happily make the change for you.

Is Wellness different from other counseling practices?

Yes, we were the first practice in the area (and one of the first in the country) to focus exclusively on couples. Why? Because the EFT method was designed for couples and all the research showed amazing results (95% improvement / 75% recovery rates). For that reason, we became laser focused on specializing to make a positive impact in the world by being exceptional at what we do. Recently, as the EFT method has expanded, we’ve expanded our services too.

What is the EFT method?

EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) is the evidence-based method we use at Wellness. It is considered the most effective method on the planet for couples and has recently been adapted for Individuals and Families. EFT helps people understand their relationship’s negative cycle of distress. It also helps people strengthen their bonds which leads to closeness and re-connection.

How many sessions will we need?

There is no wrong answer here! Most couples find 8-20 sessions to be optimal.

What is the success rate of EFT?

Well researched studies consistently show 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements.

Is this group therapy?

No. This is not group therapy. You work with one therapist as a couple, individual or family.

What if we need both couple and individual counseling?

Many clients need support both as a couple and individually. We will help you select a different Wellness therapist for each service. We always want to maintain balance throughout your couples work.

Many clients need support both as a couple and as a family. Again, we will help you select a different Wellness therapist for each service to maintain the balance of your support.

What if I need to cancel my session?

No problem! Our cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice. Just let your therapist know or contact Client Support. Without 48 hours notice, you are charged the full fee of your session.

What if we need to cancel our intensive?

For all Intensives, half of the fee is due when you reserve the date, and the balance is due 48 hours before the Intensive begins. If for any reason you decide to cancel, your deposit is fully refundable up to 10 days prior to the scheduled start date, less a $250 administrative fee. If you cancel less than 10 days prior to the scheduled start date, your deposit will be carried over and applied to a rescheduled date and time. The rescheduled intensive must be completed within 90 days from the original scheduled retreat date.

Are masks required?

No, however, we are located in a medical building and there are times when some people prefer to mask in common areas. If you would like to mask in our offices, you may do so at any time.

Do you offer childcare?

No. Childcare is not offered.

How do you use my email address?

We ONLY use your email to send you confirmations/reminders for your sessions and a monthly eNewsletter…that’s it! We respect your privacy and are not a fan of spam either!
