Emotional Safety and Trust

This is the New Workplace Imperative

Learn step-by-step how to have conversations with your team that reduce fear, increase trust, engage people and build human connection.

How does it FEEL to work in your organization?

And, why should you care? Because people perform based on how they feel.

As human beings we all have a deep-seated need to feel safe… Physically, Emotionally and Psychologically.

To unite your team and move them through change, you’re going to have to address their fears by creating safety and trust.

These are critical ingredients in the new work environment.

According to a recent Harvard Business Review article Making Your Employee’s Well-Being Your Top Priority is the #1 thing to do to reduce re-entry anxiety.

As a leader, you may simply want to send people off to a trust building workshop. But first, you’ll need to demonstrate understanding, empathy and compassion.  That includes having powerful, courageous and uncomfortable conversations.

When it comes to uncomfortable conversations…

Google discovered that psychological safety is the prime factor in high performance teams. It’s what sets them apart from other teams, ensures trust and the willingness to take risks.

You understand creating psychological safety and building trust in the workplace goes beyond the individual. It’s relational.

Your talent is stressed as never before and as a leader, you know your attention must go beyond tasks, logistics and physical well-being of your team. This is your moment to create safety and trust in the workplace; the kind that brings people together and increases your HBQ (human being quotient). You’re ready to take it to the next level.

This is the time to be intentional and meet people where they are now.

This is the time for your compassion and humanity to shine by creating a place where people want to be.

At Wellness, we are on a mission to help people connect. This includes creating psychological safety and trust in the workplace.

We understand that innovation rarely comes from people who’ve been trained to do the same thing over and over again.

That’s why we’ve combined our expertise to bring you leading edge perspectives and practices. We give you the tools to have conversations with your team that enable you to remain agile in the face of an ever-changing landscape.

Our work is based in neuro-science, attachment theory and leadership training. We thoughtfully blend logic and emotion. We understand that when people enter an unsafe environment, the brain doesn’t care whether it’s at home or at work. It simply cannot function well and people are unable to reach their potential.

Working together, Anne Hancock and Bea Germinario blend their unique combination of corporate, coaching and therapeutic expertise. We believe in the power of compassionate leadership.

Programs We Offer

This program consists of an initial one month intensive; four half-day training sessions coupled with three months of 1:1 follow-up coaching. It is ideal for leaders who want to develop their own action plan and implement team conversations in-house. We’ll train you in our signature four step process, the mindset, techniques and provide you with all the tools you’ll need to understand your team in new ways. First, we’ll meet in our office to discuss your goals and ask a lot of questions. Then we’ll spend four mornings working together training you and helping you develop a precise step-by-step action plan. We’ll share our best insights and ideas to help bring clarity on what to do, how to do it and how to get the best results. Once you’re prepared and understand what your team needs, you’ll be equipped to start having conversations and create more opportunities for them to share and connect with each other. Three months of ongoing bi-weekly 1:1 coaching provides you with the support you need as you and your team grow and move forward together.

In this three month program, we help with the implementation and actually join you and your team in the conversations. This is a great option for professionals and leaders who want to create an ongoing, accelerated approach for connection. We stand with you, side-by-side and guide you through the implementation process. First, we meet with you to discuss your goals and uncover areas that need attention. Then we’ll spend four mornings working together and training you to use our signature four step process. We’ll help you create and develop a precise step-by-step action plan to implement based on the unique needs of your operation and your people.. This structured approach keeps you on track because we work closely with you and your team to ensure you’re moving in the right direction. We are in the process with you and support you as you lead in-depth conversations that breakthrough to the heart of the matter. During this time you will receive 1:1 coaching and we’ll finalize our work together with a summary of strengths and opportunities along with recommendations on how you can support your team now and in the future.

As a Lead Business Analyst, I work with a variety and sometimes-difficult personalities. My coach has provided me with exceptional coaching during my career on effectively communicating with project stakeholders and how to manage my personal responses when working with difficult people. I take every opportunity to give credit to her for her guidance and how I am a more successful Business Analyst having received coaching and mentoring from her.
The work with Anne brought a higher level of respect to our relationship … instead of arguing over who is right or wrong, we see the others’ perspective and work things out without hurting each other.
I personally worked with Bea for professional coaching and then engaged her to work with my entire senior leadership team. Bea possesses a unique skill set – coach, analyst, cheerleader, counselor and source of inspiration – and with warmth, humor and just the right amount of nudging, fluidly transition between these roles to guide you where you need to go professionally and personally.
