Helping People Connect

If you are a couples therapist looking to enhance your skills in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)…
If you are eager to learn in a supportive and caring community…
Look no further!
It’s a Professional Learning Circle and we’re calling it EFT With Us!
We envision a warm, wonderful space comprised of skilled professionals and like-minded colleagues.
You’re likely already familiar with EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and you understand the beauty, elegance and complexity of the model. For most of us, it’s challenging to implement and requires a willingness to think differently and to always view relationship through an attachment lens.
Learning EFT is a paradigm shift which requires focus and a passion.
Excellence is the essence of the creative spirit in EFT With Us! It’s all about learning and sharing knowledge in community…with colleagues.
We’d love to have you join us!
We welcome licensed and pre-licensed therapists who love helping couples, individuals and families using the EFT model.
We’ll focus on the EFT model while incorporating new research and supporting you through recent changes in ICEEFT’s certification process.
There’s lots to explore in working with individuals and families using EFT too and we will certainly touch on that by incorporating the EFIT and EFFT modalities as we learn.
Every experience will help increase your knowledge and align your skillset.
Because excellence is at the core of everything we do, we’re committed to creating a space where you can learn, grow, and connect with like-minded professionals.

Plus, let’s support each other as we approach another important topic; forgiveness. It’s amazing how forgiveness can heal human relationships. Yup! We’ll do that too as we talk about the Attachment Injury Repair Model (AIRM). Attachment Injury Repair Model (AIRM).
That’s when we can all lean into the work, exchange ideas and learn the most from each other.

At the same time, our work can be extremely challenging.
There are sessions when couples experience deep empathy and connection and leave the office feeling close. When this happens, you’re delighted and honored to be a part of their journey. Then, there are those other sessions, when things escalate or clients feel discouraged and disappointed. When this happens, you’re at a loss on how to proceed.
You might consult with colleagues or go online and order books, read a few and leave the others on the corner of your desk…for later. We’ve all been there! Sometimes when you experience a particular challenge you might consider a change in careers! Everyone responds differently to those rough sessions, but one thing is certain, we all care…deeply.
EFT and the science of attachment offers a map of affect regulation, cognitive restructuring and behavior change — and the effective EFT therapist knows how to lead clients from one to the other AND into relationship repair. These are the critical ingredients for excellence in using the EFT model.
We want to make this a special place for therapists to grow and utilize advanced therapeutic skills.
We also want everyone to feel welcome, safe yet challenged while learning this elegant model.
The EFT With Us! Learning Circle has been designed to augment and encourage formal ICEEFT training. Remember, we are a study group not a training program…which means we do the work independently and bring our wisdom to the group and collaborate. Both are necessary. Both are powerful.
We invite you to commit to a full year of working together, supporting each other and learning how to work more effectively using EFT.
This year we’re going to take it to the next level and for anyone not yet exposed to formal EFT training with ICEEFT, click here. The Externship is a prerequisite for your participation.

Anne is a prominent relationship therapist and Founder of Wellness Counseling Center. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and specializes in working with couples and families. She has a doctorate in Psychology and masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Anne always works from a wellness-oriented, non-pathologizing point of view. That means no-blame, no-shame.

EFT With Us! is designed to be a catalyst for your professional growth as an EFT Therapist. Anne Hancock Psy.D, is the group facilitator. She is a Certified EFT therapist, as well as a AAFMT and ICEEFT Supervisor. Anne is committed to providing safe and extraordinary support while engaging with you in a collaborative learning process.
No. The intention of this group collaboration is to augment formal EFT training and support you as you advance your learning and become your BEST professional self. A special bonus of this year’s study group will be an introduction to AIRM (Attachment Injury Repair Model). This formal AIRM training program, developed by Dr. Lillian Buchanan and Lorrie Brubacher M.Ed. has been endorsed by Dr. Sue Johnson and ICEEFT. AIRM is an evidence-based approach you can use to help your couples get unstuck and tap into the power of forgiveness.
This group is not about teaching, although there will be lots of learning. It’s about working together, setting your own goals and objectives and getting what you want with the help, support and accountability of your peers. Anne will prepare and guide the meetings so we can collaborate and focus exclusively on enhancing your skills using the EFT model. Again, meetings will utilize:
This experience is not for everyone. It is for the therapist who wants to collaborate and take a deep dive into the EFT model.
Participants must have some formal ICEEFT approved training; the Externship is the minimum prerequisite. Click here to learn more about the EFT Externship.
The group is open to Licensed and Pre-licensed Mental Health Professionals and Masters and Doctoral Level Students interested in working with couples and the EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) method.
This isn’t your everyday learning opportunity. Participation will require preparation, participation, listening, creativity, and a willingness to share openly.
Over time, each participant becomes an important part of the group dynamic. We develop a special kind of relationship. Commitment, vulnerability, respect, and compassion are essential. If that sounds like you, bring your unique gifts and skill set along with your interest in learning EFT and becoming ICEEFT certified. If you’re already certified, it’s about helping others get there too!
If you want to jump in and participate with your whole heart, that is what this group represents and you will likely be a perfect fit. If you think you just want to dip your toe in the water, then this probably isn’t the right venue for you.
We invite you to consider participating in the study group as a 1-year commitment. There will be monthly meetings except in December. We will meet in Wellness Counseling Center’s comfy conference room. Coffee, tea and light snacks will be provided. We enjoy spending time together! Participants may leave the group at any time. Please give us 30 days notice in writing. Should a member drop out, you can re-enter the following year and there are no refunds for missed meetings. Participants who drop out may rejoin the group the following year. All registration is online. There is no in-person or paper registration.
Because space is limited we encourage you to reserve your seat early. If you’re ready to join, registration requires a $75 deposit. This holds your seat AND will be applied to your first month. Remaining automated payments in the amount of $75 will occur every 30 days. Should you desire to leave the group, please give us 30 days advanced notice in writing. Once you register, we’ll know you’re ready to participate and we look forward to welcoming you! Special note: This deposit is non-refundable and there are no refunds for missed meetings. Why? Because we are holding space for you!
CEUs are not available at this time.
Of course! But we are confident this will not be the case. While we request a 1 year commitment, you may register and you may drop out at any time. However, should you drop out, you may not re-enter the group until the following year. The decision to enroll requires your careful consideration. If you believe this is right for you, take the plunge and enroll. We look forward to welcoming you!
